How many...

Q: How many OpenHost staff does it take to redirect a domain name?
A: More than they currently employ, apparently.

Why can't you do it yourself, or get your new hosts to do it for you? I presume you have the UDAI etc. They can probably make the change themselves to the register entry.

Q: How many times will AL get burned before going with a registrar that allows himself to change ip addresses at will whenever he will?

Wasn't my decision. In fact OpenHost registered the domain name using someone elses name - and didn't ask them first or supply that person with the password to the registrar's website.

To cut a long story short, they are truly incompetent.

I've now registered a couple of sites with RWH - great service. They had one site up and running with domain name and all within two hours of me filling in the online form.

Actually I should qualify that - OpenHost was in fact my decision! But we had bad vibes about them from the first week.
