TV3-TNS poll has Labour ahead by 9 points

A 3 News TNS poll has Labour up six points to 45 per cent support -- nine points ahead of National which has slipped five points to 36 per cent.

Tonight's poll also sees New Zealand First losing a point to sit on 5 per cent support with the Green Party gaining a point to capture 7 per cent of the vote.

Act was up a point to 2.4 per cent, United Future was virtually unchanged on 1.5 per cent support while the Maori Party stayed the same on 1.7 per cent support.
Under this poll, Labour would have 57 seats, National 45, NZ First six, the Green Party eight, Maori Party two, United Future two and Progressives one seat.
Whats up with the polls?

The whole compaign has been rather wierd this week. This stupid EB story is probably helping Labour. National need to get back to their main message that they pushed so well last week.

I've come to the conclusion that it's best to take little notice what the opinion polls say from now on.

Lindsay, these polls have been conducted days before the EB story.

well al..i see it's all turning out as i predicted..the national vote is in freefall..the greens are tracking towards my expected 10%..

and act should see a squirt up on the back of the collapse of the national party vote....

and of course, as predicted (when he was on 10%)..nz first has collapsed..

how gratifying..

By hell, I wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall. I hope they've all got potties.

By hell they ae going to need paramedics over at Leftie land next week when Gnats start polling 51% plus. We haven't yet seen a poll which reflects Pilotgate or the No Kids Lesbo lies or Dr brash's eminently sensible treaty policy.

Whenever Labour's down in the polls its 'rogue'. Whenever Labour's up in the polls its 'eat that rightwing nutjobs'.

Ahh the civil and rational Left. And you guys wonder why Clark and co have to fake being centrist to get any support.

Get out the yoof vote!

More young people voted Liberal than Labor at the last [Australian] federal election, dispelling the popular belief that they are more likely to vote for left of the centre parties, a study has found. [...]

Prof Bean, one of the principal investigators of the Australian Electoral Study, said 49 per cent of men under 25 voted Liberal and 28 per cent voted Labor.

In the 25 to 30 age bracket, an overwhelming 62 per cent of men voted Liberal and 27 per cent Labor.

The ballots were more evenly split with women, with 36 per cent of under 25s voting Labor and 34 per cent Liberal.
In the 25 to 30 age bracket, 42 per cent voted Labor and 38 per cent Liberal.

of course, a main reason national are dropping is that the race-baiting exercise hasn't worked this time out..

any rational person can see the hell that would break loose from an arbitrary ending of the maori seats..and a targeting/scapegoating of maori...

many people of a conservative bent are horrified by such ideas..

but what it all boils down to...is that nationals' arse is grass....

and hey..twenty bucks a week in tax cuts was never going to really cut it..eh..?

Hey phule -

Hows the lawsuit coming along?

Made any racial slurs this week?

What it all boils down to is that you are a racist with no integrity.

It's a bit early to gloat my lefty friends. Believe that National is dead when you've driven a stake through it's heart, and cut off it's head. Until then, the bastards could well come back. Given the consistent inconsistency of the polls, we won't know for real until late on Saturday 17 Sep.

Who knows, it might be us with serious chest pains and a sore neck......

Oh, I think Pete "I didn't have physical relations with that woman" Hodgeson will be problematic for Labour.

Surely even the Greens can't support the suppression of protest.

Tell us if you do though.

prophet(?)..so you don't think taking on the name of the spiritual head of the muslim faith...and using a religous salutation of that faith (as a piss-take) and as a vehicle for your extreme rightwing views, and to attack followers of that faith, isn't a series of ongoing racist slurs..?

(tuis' response..)

you are what you are..eh?..and it has a really bad smell about it..eh?

(btw..i would appreciate your contact details for delivery of papers etc...i've already got the other ones i need..)
