Tried Hard, Didn't Make It

Immediately after the election, indeed on election night itself, Socialist TV and Radio Left Wing tried desparately to create the perception that Dr Brash was a failed leader and would be outski by lunchtime. I have no doubt the leftie journos were seeking to undermine National's efforts to put together a coalition government by sowing the seeds of doubt in the minds of potential partners.

Therefore it was gratifying to hear at about 0710 on Morning Report, RLW's political editor whose name escapes me, concede that Dr Brash is under no pressure to step down. I think her words were there is 'absolutely no evidence there is any pressure from within the party. The only possibility might be that Dr Brash himself may decide to step down but his recent statements indicate he has no such intention and it appears likely he will fight the next election.'

So much for squawking Mould. What a disgrace some of our jounalists are.
