Russian Government building floating nuclear reactor for $US200,000

This sounds like a similar idea to the American project based on submarine fission reactors. Of course the American examples have a slightly better safety record...

I was reading MosNews last night and saw that along with a whole lot of other stuff. It reads like a tabloid: Man cuts himself in half and survives; Dog throws himself on grenade to save owner; MP calls for ban on young Russian girls leaving the country...

Yep, its definitely tabloidy. I suspect the price is somewhat on the low side. But turning safe self-contained nuclear reactors into a consumer product - i like it. No more relying on the Middle East for oil - just plug your electric car into your local nuclear reactor ;-)

Oh yeah, I think I agree with that. I must admit, I'm in the "not sure camp" on nuclear power.
