PSA anti-tax cut propaganda distributed by Government employees

Below are scanned copies of PSA anti-National pamphlets handed out by public health service employees during work hours to people visiting public health facilities. See Adolf's post for further background.

The PSA is the Public Service Association, the union of public sector employees. Instead of providing their own critique of Labour's Working for Families expansion, the PSA website links to this Labour Party media release. The PSA's attacks on National's tax cuts are listed here.

Whaleoil - if you find something, its important to download DOC's from other Labour-affiliated sites before going public.

How much truth is there in that Peter Harris paper? Are there reliable numbers that argues a contrary position?

CC'd from earlier post for additional coverage.

I say lay complaints. The State Services Commission has clear guidelines on what public sector employees should and shouldn't do. Interestingly, It is inappropriate for agency premises or other resources to be used for 'electioneering'. Opps.

I would document your experience and send an email/letter to Beith Atkinson, the Programme Manager, Integrity and Conduct for the State Services Commission, phone number 04 495 6722. I would send one email/letter for each instance, and perhaps one should actively investigate some nearby Government Agencies to see if others are doing the same. I might try that tomorrow.

Oh, and I would also try and track down the manager of the facility concerned and copy them on the communication with the SSC and ask for some immediate actions from them. E.g. ensuring that such activity does not take place again.

Just in case people are wondering if the DHB's are part of the 'Government':

"DHBs have very wide responsibilities for publicly funded health and disability services, including purchasing of services. They are bodies corporate owned by the Crown and are required to operate in a transparent manner. "
