So how many people have tried Sudoku?

I enjoy logic puzzles, and these are as good as any. I've also done the traditional logic puzzle grids, where you get a bunch of clues to figure out that if Sally is the Nurse who has a rash, then John must be the taxi driver with the broken leg, Nigel the Doctor who accidently removed George's (the bus driver) appendix, whilst Mary, the teacher, is on the waiting list for a heart bypass. (The logic of the NZ Health system might be harder to fathom)

Interesting how these puzzles have been popular in Japan since 1986, and explode on to the scene about 20 years later. Home of Sudoku Puzzles

Yes, I did one on Wednesday and Thursday as an alternative to studying for my final exam of the trimester. Quite good, though I only managed to get Thursday's one. Hmmm.. tempting to go grab the DomPost now and try today's offering (I presume there is one today).

Today's sudoku in the Press is weird : 9 sections of 3 x 4. I have about half of it - no cheating!
