Saudis prevalent amongst foreign fighters in Iraq

Over 50% (165 men) of known fatalities (300) amongst foreign fighters in Iraq were Saudi Arabian. 13% (38) were Syrian.

Ha! Ackers, yeah the majority of Insurgents are Iraqi! Although I suppose you could say that, like the foreign legion, the foreign insurgents are being used by the Iraqi insurgents as cannon fodder.

There is absolutely no doubt that the majority of insurgents are Iraqi. Why do you have difficulty understanding this Kimble? Did you bother reading the link which is an analysis of 300 foreign fighters and in no way suggesting they make up the bulk of the insurgency.

The largest amount of foreign fighters killed are Americans at 1000+.

Unless of course you consider that America rightly owns Iraq.

'Foreign fighters' is the accepted terminology for stateless irregular combatants, ie not covered by the Geneva Conventions.

Well ackers, using the Lancet method of extrapoltation that means that there have been...mmmmmm....lets say.... 450,000 foreign insurgent deaths since the war began.

The Muslim Brotherhood is strong in Saudi although I believe it originated in Egypt, however today it is strongest there. The MB and Al-Qaida go hand in hand.
