Safely Tucked Up In Bed

That's where the country's intrepid on line journos are. All of them, that is except those at MSN. The ACT Party list was announced on Rodney Hide's blog at 5.15 pm today six hours later, not a mention.

What happened to all the last minute speculation dressed up as news about Banks? Where is the loudly heralded leadership challenge touted for the week-end.

What a pathetic bunch of people we have, passing themselves off as reporters. I could get better and more up to date news from a metho soaked dero in the Domain.

On the other hand it was an enormous surprise to hear tonight's Media Watch programme dish out a real serve to TVNZ for being seen to be "too close to the Ninth Floor." There was a devastating analysis of the amount of time given by numerous progrmmes to fawning pieces whose only purpose is to try and make Labour look good. I never thought I would hear myself say it but "Well done , Media Watch."

One has to observe with considerable satisfaction this example of brazen propoganda being openly and publicly criticised for the first time - and by the state funded radio station. Could it be that this is the first hedge fund payment? A hedge against an upset election result? How could I possibly be so cynical?

No, Just the a radio journalist talking about a subject he thinks he knows a lot about (commercial TV). Afer working in public service radio in Wellington for 30 years it is no wonder this man is an expert on all aspects of commercial television. Anyone listening to Radio NZ would know this journalist has an axe to grind and consistently whines about TVNZ and the Govt's actions. No doubt he'll be doing it next week. Just check the website and you'll find plenty more examples.
