Rehabilition Dehabilitating

I just heard on the news what has to be the quote of the day: "Benson-Pope has been rehabilitated back into the cabinet"

Oooh, haven't they done a good job then? And how do you rehabilitate some-one back into cabinet? I wondered why his voice was a bit squeaky. It wasn't just the tennis balls that required removal to get a seat on the front bench. They must have castigated him severely.

Now that the method has been made clear to me, I gotta admire Tamihere for standing his ground and saying "I'd much rather sit on the back bench and play pocket billiards thank you."

Moments after Margaret Wilson declared Benson-Pope fit to play, the PM has forgotten all about her "Police Investigation" and rehabilitated him quicker than you can say "the kindest cut". I wonder if the average voter will now see him for nothing more than a school girls blouse?
