National leads by 4 points

The Nats have pulled ahead in the latest NZ Herald-Digipoll:

National: 40.1%
Labour: 36.2%
NZ First: 11.8%
Greens: 4%
Maori Party: 3.1%
Act: 1.9%
United Future: 1.3%

Translates to: 52 National MPs, 47 Labour, 15 New Zealand First, four Maori Party, two United Future and one Progressive.

And on trust in Cullen: survey respondents were asked if they believed Dr Cullen when he said the country could not afford tax cuts:
Yes I believe him: 27.6%
No I don't believe him: 61.2%
Don't knows: 11.2%

Lets see how Jordan Carter spins this one, and how Clark responds to this tax issue.

Lemur, you are out of bed before me. Clark will be taking singing lessons. Do youremeber that song from the sixties? "Oh Loathsome Me"? I'm wondering where the pills will go when they start to reflect Labour's Coyote mess. 'Competent' now demolished. 'Popular' on the skids.

I've tried to put myself into Jordan's shoes this morning. Yes, this poll really is good news for Labour. It gives them a good thirteen weeks to clear out their desks and offices.
