Useless as Tits on a Lesbian

Yes, it’s a bloody offensive headline and it’s meant to be. It’s how Holmes and Campbell were made to look last night when the Taxpayer owned TV network was manipulated by Dr Joseph Williams, Helen Muldoon and the rest of her Girls on Top Club, in the most stunningly cynical, shameful and contemptuous media stunt ever seen in New Zealand. They have learnt well from their new-found friends in Cuba, Gazza and Iran.

TVNZ, the government owned channel, was given an exclusive 1900 slot by Labour for a contrived patsy propaganda interview with John Tamihere as he jogged down the road to Damascus for the umpteenth time. This ensured that the unsuspecting viewers were smothered with the uninterrupted “proper” party line without the distraction of awkward pesky questions from real journalists. You see, all the privately owned channels were shut out and I’ll bet the questions had been pre-agreed by the tame channel and Labour beforehand. Holmes reckoned Tamihere was likely given the questions in advance.

(Imagine the scene as the Great Pock Mark met with the Angel of Death to set it all up. Crouched over a steaming cauldron, every time Little Hone’s head surfaced, one of them would push it back under – “Don’t interrupt John, the grown ups are talking.”)

And the gormless milksop reporter will write in his CV, “Exclusive Scoop.” What was the fellow’s name? Sudsbury, I think. Poor old Campbell must be wondering if he needs to publicly disembowel himself on Mayday to be noticed.

Let there be no doubt TVNZ will be sold at the earliest opportunity.

Paul Holmes summed it up. “Well, no one believes it because we all know what he really thinks anyway.”

Labour supporters who love and respect their country no longer should be under any illusions about this gang of political thugs who, largely by stealth and deceit, have taken a decent nation and tuned it into a semi-benign totalitarian state. Make no mistake - this week we have been given a savage and frightening taste of a Labour third term. First, the bus drivers took Auckland a step back into 1950s New Zealand with lazy, greedy trade unions in firm control, feathering their own nests at the expense of ordinary folk and last night, Labour showed all New Zealanders at first hand how Hitler and Goebbels convinced 50 million Germans to be so tragically wrong. It’s done by controlling the media. Thirty years ago we had dancing Cossacks. Now we’ve got goose stepping jackboots.

I never ever thought I would live to see such a disgracefully corrupt episode in this country.

April 6th, 2005 was New Zealand’s very own day of infamy.

Update 0900
Was it all a mirage? Did Labour really, truly, not know a thing about the 1900 TV1 interview? Was John so stressed that he would gazzump the official News Conference?

I see Labour is claiming that it had no knowledge of the TV1 interview. Really?

Wow! Different days from when I lived there in the 70's! Have your guys been taking lessons from "Bliar Bliar Pants on Fire" in Pomland!? Sounds as if they all come from that same steaming cauldron - and we know what it is that's steaming, now don't we??

Over here at 51*N latitude 0*E longitude we are facing a Labour third term too! :-( Can that really be possible with all this cheating and lying!? They are worse than the bunch they accused of the same some eight years ago when they first conned the Great British Public. But the GBP is still at risk and stupid as ever - can't see the wood for the trees, even though most of those have gone too! Aah mee!

I think National/Act has more spirit in them the Conservatives. If not, then we're royally stuffed.

Considering half the country can't tune in to Holmes and the other half don't watch Holmes Close Up was the obvious choice. A certain chap called Duncan Garner gets paid by Canwest {TV3) - Remember last week?

Davros is right... we all assumed Tamihere's interview was the Labour-approved one, but as it turns out his apology-thats-not-an-apology was said during an official-interview-that-wasn't-an-official-interview.
