Reuters loves Kofi long time

Frankly, the NZ Herald has abysmally biased international coverage, closely related to the strong leftwing and enviro-scaremongering leanings of the UK Independent (owned by the owner of the Herald).

Adolf had it right when he criticised this load of Reuters drivel published by the Herald.

These paragraphs may as well been written by Kofi himself:
Annan, addressing a seminar on the United Nations and the media, said most of the money Saddam earned was by oil sold to Jordan and Turkey outside of the UN program.

Only countries like the United States and Britain had interdiction forces that could have stopped it. But he said they "decided to close their eyes to Turkey and Jordan because they are allies".
Honestly, what a load of crap. The United Nations managed the Iraq Oil-for-food programme, its manager Bevan was found to be receiving kickbacks, Bevan was appointed by Kofi, Kofi Annan's own son did 'contracting' for the Swiss company supposedly responsible for auditing the oil-for-food contracts, this Swiss company itself received kickbacks and did not perform its contracted duties, many UN staff shredded years worth of relevant paperwork when they discovered investigations were underway, QED the UN is corrupt and Kofi is part and parcel of the corruption.

A major international news organisation is not supposed to simply reword press releases from the guilty.

Capiche, Reuters?

I upgrade Adolf's Media Bullshit Rating (MBR) to Force 7/10 (if its out of 10 - I'm unclear on this... help me out Adolf. Or are we just counting direct examples of the thirteen bias points?). My rage at New Zealand participating in this farce of international corruption and child rape makes me want to upgrade the MBR to 10/10, but this is meant to be about media bias.

This might be a good time to discuss the application of the Media Bullshit Rating. I've added a link at top left to Adolf's original media bias post, but I think we can come up with a better draft document.
