Media Bias #2

The good old Herald reports on Oil for Fools indictments. Trouble is, its mates at Reuters can't resist devoting half the article to Kofi so that he can blame it all on the Brits and the Yanks because they failed to stop a few barrels being smuggled to Jordan and Turkey, allies in the invasion. Then HUGE MEMORY HOLE combined with False Impression of Balance. No mention, not a word of the vast quantities of oil which were siphoned off to France and Russia in return for their helping hand for Saddam at the UN.

Come on, O'Herald. You need to lift your game.

Bullshit rating Force 5

Update: 1100 Saturday 16th

This morning's Herald had the same article repeated but slightly rehashed to make it look as though the whole bloody thing was all the fault of Tony and George. Lemur was right to upgrade the Media Bullshit Rating.

2230 Sunday. Condi King Hits Kofi

RLWNews at 2200 announced that the US Secretary of State has warned Che Kedaki to desist from his untruthful assertions of US and UK complicity in the Oil For Favours affair. She suggested he should focus his mind on resolving the endemic corruption in his organization and on eliminating the child abuse practiced by its so called peace keepers.

I do hope Dominatrix gets the UN job after she loses the unlosable election. It will be one of life’s ever lasting joys each week to watch the attractive, svelte, black, feminine, ten times brighter and smarter Condoleezza beat up the dowdy, Godless honky Kindaloozza. I hear she’s a Presbyterian too. The Secretary of state, that is.

I imagine the Heralds coverage will increase because a Texan is involved.
