New TVNZ Series on Battle of The Ardenne

There are some remarkable similarities between the the closing days of WWII in Europe and the current TVNZ brouhaha.

A rudderless High Command threshes about, desperate for a miracle. In both cases the few remaining assets are poisoned - Rommel and Wood. Politicians (Hitler/Clark) with no business/battlefield experience meddle and interfere, with disastrous results. TVNZ has experienced the Patton like advance of Three News and Campbell Live and as it desperately seeks to regroup, out of nowhere comes the Montgomery killer punch in the form of Three's new Breakfast Show.

It only remains to be seen how many troops TVNZ can throw to the slaughter of one last push before the victorious Allies storm the Fuhrer Bunker and force the sale of a by then near worthless shell.

Err Adolf, Rommel was dead by the time of the Ardennes offensive. Or maybe you're saying Susan is going to bite the cyanide capsule to retain her dignity in the face of a show trial?

Rommel went before his time anyway. (Fortunately for all of us).
