Hmm. Tech problems at our hosting company?

Maybe we'll have to find new company. I haven't been impressed by their level of service so far.

Anyway, the rumours going the rounds at the moment are that Al-Zarqawi is dead. More at Iraq The Model.

UPDATE: Yes, our hosting company is shit - we've been told of the problem! And they've offered a solution!

UPDATE2: Where art thou, database?

UPDATE3: Taken out by Al-Zarqawi? Destroyed by an Iranian suicide bomber TV ad? Was it the mysterious disappearing forum link?

Ours exploded.

They also blew up our backups.

The they ran away and hid and wouldn;t answer the phone.

What a mess - hope you have backups of your data there (if they have managed to lose it). Is this a good time to renew my recommendation for Kiwiwebhost (www.kiwiwebhost.co.nz)? You may also like kiwihosting.net (www.kiwihosting.net.nz) - we use them for BBNZ and Iconz NZ hosting

You should switch to ours, it's Wind Riders company and he keeps the server in his office and the backups on his desk.

But your method is fun for a while too.

So what is Adolf getting up to today?
I am missing his wit and wisdom.
Don't say we are both having to concentrate on our jobs :(

And lets just not post anything new, till the site is up and running. I don't want to do any more imports - it may have been the import process yesterday that caused our site to be shut down.

I don't think it was Bernard - the site was working ok until this morning, though FTP broke yesterday evening. I feel like a mushroom.

I would like to see the server logs.

al, I can host you for not too many dollars. Depends a bit on the traffic. If you're a 1GB network traffic site, it might be expensive :-)

First SR, now SH.

Anyone else see a pattern?

I'd say we're substantially over 1Gb.

Even when the new site was only being tested we were up near 1Gb. And that's with images hosted externally.

The US military doesn't think it's true, or rather they don't want to lend credence to the rumours.

Oops AL, my number was a thousand times smaller than they should have been. So 1TB is a problem, 1GB isn't.
