Collective beauty

Göran Persson has been reconfirmed as the leader of the Social Dems in Sweden to fight the next election, here is what he says about opposing opinions,
“Say the word collective agreement. Taste it. Is there a more beautiful word,” he asked, adding that those who attack collective agreements “attack Sweden. You attack the core of the Swedish model. And the Swedish model, the labour movement, the unions and the party, side by side is prepared to battle for this.”
Oh dear, socialism inevitably seems to slide into nationalist jingoism. God, he sounds like some throwback to the 30s.

It all sounds very totalitarian to me.
He's saying Sweden is just about collectivism.
There is no role for the individual.
The state is almighty.

Nah, Göran isn't totalitarian. He's just a patronising twit whose party and allies are bleeding support after an ongoing series of own-goals. While Swedish models are hot, the Swedish model is definitely not.
