Another bottle of snake-oil thanks

John Ray had a post up yesterday about "hydrinos", where some snake-oil merchant is trying to sell his new super-hydrogen that gives 10 times as much energy as anything else based on his new improved 'classical quantum mechanics'. It all sounds a bit like the NZ guy that popped up a few weeks ago trying to sell water-fueled cars. John has put up a letter I wrote him about the hydrino nonsense. Seems my grammar is unique enough to identify me as a Kiwi as well.

(Completely aside, why do some of my comments not appear in the recent comments bar?)

The Recent Comments system we use only works for comments on the posts still on our main page.

Oh right. I guess it won't matter after the big move anyway!

Yep. The new system picks up any recent comments. It's not as good as the Moveable Type system though. Maybe we can fix it...

This made it to Slashdot as well- their author ScuttleMonkey seems to fall for such crap regularly. At least he's not as bad as Timothy.

Its been pissing me off enough that I posted about it here. Anyone that falls for this snake oil is just a fool and deserves to be taken for a ride.
