Interesting additions to TopSpin

There's been a few interesting additions to TopSpin already.

Apparently Jonathan Milne was a member of Labour Youth while attending University. I can see we're going to have problems adding external references for such information when TopSpin itself might be the only location on the Internet which claims this.

That's interesting because of all the herald reporters I would rate him as one of the most objective and impartial. Mind you, Churchill, Giuliani and regan were socialists before they grew up, were they not? (As was Donna Awatere)

Do you mean to tell me at last there is to be a public register of journalistic political affiliations, past and present? Oh dear, how relvealing.

I might be wrong on Reagan

Reagan was a pro-New Deal Democrat until the late 1940s.

Churchill was never a socialist although he was a Liberal. Was first elected as a Conservative but left when the Balfour govt adopted tariffs as a policy - Churchill was a free trader.

I agree with Adolf. Jonathan Milne seems fairer than the rest, especially when compared to the Sunday Star-Times.
Yesterday, we had its business columnist, Rod Oram, who else?, berating business for the trade deficit!
I quickly scan over its political section now. Such predictable left-wing humbug.
They even found some "readers" letters commenting on the bretheren leaflets and how it is "greedy" to want taxcuts (obviously to demand higher benefits is not).
The SST certainly needs a clear out. Other lefties like Matt McCarten, Chris Trotter and Willie Jackson provide far better value.

Rob's Blockhead Blog. Thanks for that. I recall seeing recently a History Channel doco on Churchill's early political life and I'm sure it was he who introduced the very first social welfare benefits into Breat Britain. That'll do me for being a socialist before he grew up.
