Hawkins, Swain, Hobbs step down from Cabinet

Swain is a little surprising - but then there was the Iraqi immigration affair, and Cabinet ignoring his advice to unbundle Telecom's local loop.

Good riddance to Hawkins.

Things are done in threes today. Three severed bommer's heads are displayed throughout the western world and three ministers listen to the gentle swiiiiish of the Madame Guillotine as their political heads roll into the backbench basket to make room for the Greens. They were such loyal, concientious and hard working ministers, too.

Replacements:

Locke (immigration); Genetic Fitzsimons (biodiversity etc); Donald (police).

Shame Matt Robson isn't still with is. He would have had prisoners having it off in the police cells.
