Comments from around the left blogosphere

I've had occasion to read two entire threads of leftie comments recently: the one on NRT where Russell Brown lies in a pathetic attempt at smearing SH with the 'they censor' label, and the Frogblog thread supposedly acting as the basis for an MSM article or two.

eredwen says about Rod Donald:
The guy is a highly intelligent human dynamo. He works very hard and inspires many, including the young.
A human dynamo!

Bruce T says:
The horrible little Rodney Hide despite his hotch potch of opportunisim and right wing ideology, he comes across as very clever, entertaining and fun.

His bossy boots line on tv, probably won more votes than anything Rod has said in the last 12 months.
[Text changed - see James Doherty's comment] I don't disagree with Bruce now that James has pointed out what he was talking about.

On NRT, Christiaan says:
Adrian, I can do little more than giggle when a spoilt little brat like yourself sits comfortably at his computer and crassly suggests that Islam is more imperialist that the U.S. or Britain. Heh, ever pick up a history book? Maybe you could try a little exercise and look up "American Empire", "British Empire" "Islam Empire" and see what you come up with. Methinks you're trying to bend the propaganda in your head to fit the real world that doesn't make any sense to you otherwise.
And here my sense of humour declines. Islam is the religion of the conquerers, not the religion of peace. Mohammed started Islam with violence and the murder of Jews in Medina, and spread it rapidly through-out the Arab world by warfare. About the only time Islam as a religion offers peace is when you submit to it's theology, but even then the competing schools of thought are hostile to each other.

I think you may have taken the "bossy boots" comment the wrong way. The incident that Bruce is referring to is when Rodney was accusing Labour of being "bossy boots government".
