Scoop's "2nd best independent blogger" comments on Mr Peter Davis

Referring to our post on Prime TV running a video clip tonight of Mr Peter Davis being kissed, Rob O'Neill (Scoop's 2nd best independent blogger! -not best as I had previously) says:
The good ol' boys over at Sir Humphrey's appear to have gone off prematurely again:

According to a TradeMe thread, Holmes will be running a special on Prime tonight involving video of Mr Peter Davis kissing a man (via Whaleoil). So it seems Roger's eyes weren't deceiving him on election night.

If the rumours are true then a certain political leader has not only been lying about her marriage for several decades (probably quite common in the political sphere), but has been making political hay out of anyone bringing the topic up (not common, and not nice at all).

But will they interview XXXXXX XXXXXX?

Will they indeed? For God's sake get a life! Truly pathetic.

David Farrar comments reluctantly, to his great credit.
Here's what O'Neill had to say earlier about the Exclusive Brethren in Australia:
The cowardly and hypocritical Exclusive Brethren, who in one breath can campaign for New Zealand's rearmament while professing to be pacifists, are making waves in Australia as well.

The Exclusive Brethren, a moralistic sect causing a political furore in the New Zealand general election, has been connected to a campaign for the re-election of John Howard and the self-confessed adulterer Ross Cameron.

But at least free speech is alive and well here. Not.
My post contains a clear disclaimer and was intended to highlight a video clip previously mentioned by a commenter, but unconfirmed. I'll leave readers to make their own minds up about O'Neill's posts. Just remember he used to be (or still is?) a writer for the MSM and he obviously doesn't consider himself hypocritical in any way. Time between them: 6 days.

Soooo

1. Where's that "clear disclaimer" you talk about? I can't see it. And what would you be disclaiming?

2. If your juxtaposing of these two posts is to highlight the Ross Cameron infidelity comment, you should realise it's a quote from the SMH. Cameron publicly announced his infidelity, he may even have called a press conference to announce it. There are many, many more stories on that subject.

If your purpose is something else, it's lost on me, so maybe I'm both hypocritical and stupid.

And yeeees I am in the MSM (again!). Duh!

1. Disclaimer: "If the rumours are true". I could have prefaced the entire post with ITS ONLY A RUMOUR IGNORE THIS IF YOU ONLY THINK RIGHTIES CAN BE TALKED ABOUT IN NAUGHTY WAYS, but then it was only highlighting a video clip being run by Prime at a certain time.

2. I realise its a quote. I could also have quoted commentary from media sources mentioning historical allegations against Clark, but why do that when I'm the curious one. You said 'get a life' about our post simply mentioning well-known rumours and highlighting something of interest to readers, but you indulged in remarks about the personal circumstances of someone inconsequential to NZ politics in one of your own posts.

I should point out I don't give a crap if Clark is as rumoured, but I would give a crap about her hypocrisy (hiding such matters presumedly to avoid political ramifications amongst Labour voters, while claiming to be a "Liberal") not to mention her regular point scoring achieved by claiming her political opponents have been smearing her. As she did again during the pre-election debates.

As it turned out the kiss didn't look like the drunken accident DPF tried to portray it as. I suspect most heterosexual men would have a strong reaction to some old guy kissing them on the lips in public, however briefly. But not Mr Peter Davis.

Re: MSM comment. Good to know. Already knew you had been in the past. An IT reporter?

The passage I quote is directly related to New Zealand politics. For the sake of the blind New Zealand even gets a prominent mention!

It is also the first paragraph of the story, you know, so people get an idea of what the story is about.

The rumours, that Holmes would be running a video of the kiss, were true, AL. He did run the video. So does that mean "a certain political leader [unnammed] has not only been lying about her marriage for several decades (probably quite common in the political sphere), but has been making political hay out of anyone bringing the topic up (not common, and not nice at all)."

Oh, and will they interview XXXX XXXX?

No, sorry not this time.

You know my name, AL, because I put it on my posts. If you want to know more use Google like you did last time.
