Oh the barbarity of it all

Michael Yon was recently embedded with a US unit in Mosul. Despite writing excellent highly-informative stories from the perspective of US soldiers he is not syndicated worldwide. Can anyone guess why? Fortunately he runs a classy blog so people like Alan Howard don't live their entire lives with their heads stuck up their arses.

In his last combat post Michael Yon jumped in to help after two soldiers froze during a firefight and the unit commander was pinned down by fire from a terrorist suspect they had been chasing.

Note the captured suspect in the photo below is being handcuffed rather than beheaded. Fancy that! Later the suspect was treated in the same US Army Operating Room as the soldier he shot. The barbarity of it all!

Al, you're probably familiar with Eject!Eject!Eject! Bill wrote Sanctuary, which is closely linked to the idea of providing care even for a fallen enemy. It is an opinion piece and damn long (There's a second part) but it's well worth the read.

What's with reporters jumping in to help? What's next - grabbing a spare M-16 and unloading a few into an insurgent?

Lynch's US Army medical examinaton found physical evidence for both kinds of rape. Neither Lynch nor the Iraqi doctors involved claimed it occurred at the hospital, and Lynch says she doesn't remember much at all for about 3 hours after her initial crash.

You're a creep Ackers.
