Centrebet

Clark $1.75

Brash $1.95

I'm glad I got a hundred bucks on at $2.40.

Update: Tim Selwyn is quoting Centrebet at $1.55 Clark and $2.25 Brash as at 12.30.

How veruy strange. Tim, where are you getting your figures? Same place as your New Orleans commentary?

A few minutes ago Centrebet's figures were unchanged from those posed here at 11.40.

Further Update: I take it all back!! It was 1230 am. Presumably the wee smalls this morning.

Wouldn't it have been great if you could sell those bets? Instant bucks, you don't even have to wait for the outcome. A pity you can't, and a pity TradeSports doesn't do NZ.

I have my odds up and the 3 others over at TUMEKE!

I'm not going to shorten National that far without another poll.

I suspect the higher National party votes result from the prompting after they say don't know. If National have headlines that day that group will say National. On a Labour day they would say Labour. The official Don't Knows are around 10% - but that 5-10% that needed prompting I think are being racked up to either side and skewing the results. Still puts it neck and neck however. But I will always give Labour an incumbency advantage that Centrebet seems will not.

Tim - have you bet money on this election?

Hell no.

I just watched in amazement as Brash floated out to $3.25 on Centrebet thinking, "if I were a betting man..." That didn't last too long. If I was running the book for real I would have bought up big time at that point. Labour at almost $2 after the first couple of days was also a bargain.

Oh, and National at $2.40 wasn't a shabby investment. I had them at $2.60 at the highest point so I think you did well.
