Largesse, Saudi style

Wonder why it costs so much to fill your tank? Seems the Saudis are giving all public and military employees a 15% pay raise, along with massive increases in other public expenditure. All amounting to a cool US$22 BILLION, they had so much oil revenue last year that the surplus was US$26 billion. Now that is an election bribe, well, if they had elections.

I wonder what goes unannounced into the House of Saud's Swiss/Caymans bank accounts.

I had no idea that global oil prices were related to how much the Saudis pay public servants! Thanks chefen! And here I was thinking it was related to global instability etc. How stupid I feel.

Roger, it would help if you took your medication now and then.

My medication is useless, I find the straightjacket more effective, but it makes it damn hard to type.
