Speed Reading - Clark Style

I see an ex cop residing on Banks peninsular has been convicted of threatening to knock off Dominatrix. (Some vulgar wag suggested he should have been charged with countryside.) I haven't absorbed all the available details yet but I understand the particular threats were made about the time Dominatrix was gracing the serfs of Waimate with her presence.

An awful thought has occurred to me. Will she use this death threat as justification for her 140+ kph speed reading lesson when she gets to see the inside of the courthouse on August 1st? If she does, she might have a bit of explaining to do. The last map of Canterbury I looked at tells me they were hurtling along at close on the speed of sound, heading straight for the bloke who had made the threat. (Draw a line from Waimate to Harewood and see how far off the bearing is for Banks peninsular.) The silly buggers were going the wrong way.

Oh well, must be the same decision making process used for signing off on Coyote.

But the sentence and the judge's comments were great. Yes, I too would like to throtle Helen Clark ... send the thought police, see if I care.

I'm staggered the cops arrested him in the 1st place considering they were the only ones who heard it and he used to be one of them and also considering it is Helen Clark who has presided over all the problems the police face by allowing an ineffective George Hawkins to retain his ministers warrant, and by having Commissioner Robinson on such a short leash that he too is ineffective. Don’t forget, it was Clark who leaked information to the media which allowed the witch-hunt against former commissioner Doone. What she will do to others?

Quite franky they should have patted him on the back rather than lock him up.
