Millsy

Millsy, the left wing nutter (hey - his words, not mine) has been quiet for a while, so I checked out his blog site. He seemed not quite his nutty self, so I did my best to cheer him up. I thought talking about foreign politics was the safest way to go, and he did say this about the tsunami
New Zealanders have dug deep for the tsunami cause, but it leads me to ask the question: why aren’t we digging deep for our deprived and underprivileged? Are they less worthy? We should really be looking to our backyards. There is poverty in New Zealand, and we seem to be ignoring it. 30 years ago it would have been a scandal, not its just not newsworthy. Oh well, that’s Rogernomics for you.
Millsy, how can you draw attention to NZ poverty when billions live on less than $30 per month??

Except for health spending, I think all other NZ tax money should be going to those less fortunate than ourselves overseas. Global socialism. But I don't trust the UN to spend it wisely. The money must be paid in cash, to each person in refugee camps as they line up for their daily cup of dirty water and dried beef jerky.

If Kiwis can dig deep for the tsunami, it just goes to show they haven't been taxed enough.

From now on, any donations made are NOT tax free. Instead, people should have to pay that much in tax when they do their returns.

Only the Labour government would have the sense to implement that kind of policy.

Be strong in these dark hours my friend. Maybe Chi/Che whatever his name is can provide Helen with suitable inspiration during these times. Do you have his email? I'll see that she gets it.
