"War is the real enemy, says PM"http://www.nzherald.co.nz/index.cfm?c_id=1&ObjectID=10121226So said our glorious leader as she launched a Turkish made film doco on it's New Zealand journey. Thus we are given a rare and frightening insight into the mentality which guts the countries defence forces, insults every nation with whom we should have strong alliances and curries favour with those most likely to threaten our safety and security.
She doesn't appear to understand that in fact war is the inevitable result of the failure of diplomacy to deal with the real enemies which are tyranny, religious extremism and nationalistic envy. This deluded PM lives in a dream world where socialist theories are more real than worldly hard reality.
It's time for Regime Change

As a graduate assistant some years back, I sat in several International Relations 101, held by different profs. Inevitably, the 'realist' and 'idealist' approch to foreign policy would come up during the course. To my utter amazement, every prof did favour the 'idealist' approach (people are inherently 'good', all conflict can be resolved peacefully, etc.)... Now, wasn't our glorious leader once a polictical science professor?
Kent, you're not kidding, are you? Surely those profs would have studied the last century? Neville Chamberlain anyone?
Actually, this links in with an article that the Washington Post had on College Faculties A Most Liberal Lot
Thankyou Greg, for pointing this out. Now, if only we had our own version of the Pope to root out all those leftists from universities that are corrupting young minds ...
It's no secret that our beloved Helen sees the military as a glorified police force to be used at the whim of the UN.
Yes, and our Air Force as a transport service for herself and the UN.
At least the LAV-3's have 25mm cannons, even if the Army doesn't have enough soldiers to man them or cash to buy spare parts...
Regime Change - damn, now that would have been a good name for a blog.
Kent, Steve Hoadley called himself a 'soft realist'.
regimechange.co.nz/.net.nz/.org.nz are available. You could register them and redirect them to a blog.
kent,
H1's only been a poltical studies lecturer and MP. Never worked for the private sector or even worked in a job similar to what most people do. This is what drives me nuts, everybody aged 18 and over in NZ can vote and somehow SHE out of all people became PM (and possibly the first three term Labour PM!).
