Labour spins Clark into volcanic rage

The DomPost has the lowdown on Labour's spin machine trying to twist the Tamihere backdown into something positive:
Party insiders yesterday claimed the censure delivered behind closed doors by Miss Clark was the worst they had heard in politics and there were suggestions that Miss Clark was "volcanic" in her rage. But that is unlikely to appease his mounting tally of caucus and party critics and his escaping further punishment could cause cracks in party unity.
Here we see the Labour spin machine at work. Spread some highly visual or emotional language to the political reporters and hope it ends up in the media the next day. Of course no-one is fooled this time because Tamihere has so obviously won, but it makes me wonder how many other media reports contain imagery generated by taxpayer-funded Labour spin-meisters.

UPDATE @ 12:35: Mike Readman says Cullen will be answering online questions tonight at Heads Up, some sort of Labour promo website aimed at teenagers and 'young adults'. I wonder if the taxpayer is funding it...

UPDATE @ 2:28PM: Aaron has pointed out the Parliamentary crest on the Heads Up website suggests it is indeed funded by us, the kind taxpayer. A Labour rort, if you will. I wonder if the marketing company involved is mates with anyone high up in Labour. Mike Readman comments he's asked a question of Cullen - I hope he asked 'Who funded this website and how much did it cost'.

The Parliamentary Crest is a giveaway that there will be some taxpayer funding of the website.

I asked "Who funded the Heads Up website" but it wasn't posted in the chat! I wonder why...
