Kofi Annan corrupt; draft Volcker Report avoids negative conclusions

The Montreal Gazette reports Annan had his office destroy three years of paperwork relating to the UN's oil-for-food programme:
And of course it doesn't help that Annan's office destroyed three years' worth of files on the oil-for-food program just one day after the Security Council passed a resolution last April authorizing Volcker's investigation.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says the draft Volcker report buried basic negative conclusions:
"We did not exonerate Kofi Annan," Swiss organized crime expert Mark Pieth, one of Volcker's three investigators, told The Associated Press.
