Evening Tamihere roundup

Newstalk ZB - PM won't back Tamihere:
Few Labour MPs are talking on the record about the interview outburst, but privately Mr Tamihere's supporters are saying the timing of his comments is appalling although some agree with them.
One News - Clark defends her personal life:
Asked about a Tamihere quote that the prime minister had been "brutalised" by people who called her a lesbian and was surrounded by "butch" supporters, Clark accused the opposition questioner of homophobia.

"I speak in this house as someone who has been happily married for 23 and a half years and has never been brutalised by anybody," Clark told parliament.
Young lefties get angry

UPDATE 7:25PM: This is not directly related to Tamihere, but Popular and Competent Prime Minister has deep insight into typical Clark answers.

UPDATE 7:38PM: Joe Hendren has some interesting observations.

UPDATE: Fixed the Joe Hendren link. Sorry about that!

The italics makes 'tristan' sound just like a 19yr old. Intentional?
